The Indian Institute of Education, Naul, Shyampur, Howrah – 711312, is proud of its rich academic heritage and a well-equipped Library, which plays a pivotal role in supporting the teaching, learning, and research activities of the institution. The Library follows the Dewey Decimal Classification (DDC) – 23rd Edition for systematic organization and easy retrieval of resources.
The Library of the Indian Institute of Education has a collection of more than 5,000 books, including reference materials, journals, and magazines that cater to the courses offered — B.Ed. (100 students) and D.El.Ed. (50 students).
The Library subscribes to several national and international journals and magazines to enhance the knowledge base of students and faculty members. The resources mainly focus on education, pedagogy, psychology, general knowledge, and professional development, ensuring comprehensive academic support.
The Library continuously strives to strengthen the teaching-learning process and promote a research-oriented culture among faculty, students, and staff. It provides open access to all users through an OPAC (Online Public Access Catalogue) system, ensuring transparency and ease in book search and issue processes.
